Federal Decree-Law No. (8) of 2017 for VAT released
27 Aug 2017Federal Decree-Law No. (8) of 2017 for VAT has officially been released
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has formally has formally reviewed the related constitutions which correlate to the implementation of VAT. Following this review, the formal Federal Decree-Law No. (8) of 2017 for VAT ("the law") has been released. The law can be downloaded from the image opposite. Likewise, our VAT team shall shortly be sharing the various elements of the law which will impact businesses in the UAE from 1 January, 2018 from when the law has been formally announced to take effect.
Tax Authority release its website for registration
With a little under five months to go for VAT to take effect, the UAE Tax Authority has formally launched its website, which acts as a resourceful portal relating to the regulation. The website will also serve as a platform for businesses to register themselves from mid-September.
