Expertise spans the entire M&A lifecycle, from deal origination and strategic advisory through to transaction execution, deal structuring, and completion. Trusted advisor to clients across diverse sectors including education, hospitality, technology, property, consumer, and logistics. Possess a strong network within the UK and UAE, engaging with listed companies, private equity (PE), sovereign wealth funds, and family offices.
Before moving to the Middle East, Safwan worked as a Corporate Finance (M&A) Associate Director at Grant Thornton UK LLP for over four years, providing buy and sell side lead advisory services (including debt advisory) to a range of large / mid-market corporate entities and private equities across Europe.
Prior to this he was at EY for 5.5 years working with a range client from large corporates to medium sized enterprise. After a period in external audit, Safwan focused on SOX 404 implementation Project and Data Analytics. Core client sectors include transport, technology, food, real-estate, retail, hospitality and professional services industry.
