Isabel is a Tax Director specializing in M&A and International Tax at Grant Thornton UAE’s Tax team, bringing over 10 years of expertise from Spain and the MENA region.
Before joining Grant Thornton, she spent over 3 years in the Transaction Tax team of a major firm in Madrid. With almost 8 years of experience in the MENA region, Isabel has worked across diverse industries, including oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and distribution.
Throughout her career, Isabel has excelled in providing M&A and International tax advice, conducting tax due diligence in large transactions, offering tax structuring advice, and managing reorganization transactions. She evaluates international clients' tax efficiencies, legal documentation, and conducts financial model tax reviews. Her extensive experience also encompasses IPO tax advice for clients considering listings on the LSE, Tadawul, and ADX.
Isabel's portfolio spans large corporate clients, domestic and foreign private equity investors, SWFs, advising on MENA expansion plans and assisting MENA-based groups with outbound investments.
She has successfully managed 60+ complex cross-border transactions, showcasing her solid foundation in tax advisory and expertise in coordinating multiple jurisdictions. In addition, Isabel is actively involved in providing UAE Corporate Tax advice, aiding clients in a smooth transition to the new UAE Corporate Tax regime.
