As the UAE transitions to mandatory climate reporting under its landmark Climate Change Law, sustainability is becoming a core business requirement rather than a compliance afterthought.
The law (Federal Decree‑Law No. 11 of 2024 on the Reduction of Climate Change Effects) came into force on 30 May 2025, with a full compliance deadline of 30 May 2026 for businesses to measure, report and manage their Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
