Mohamed Zaghloul

Mohamed Zaghloul is a seasoned risk advisory professional with over 12 years of experience helping organizations across the Middle East strengthen their governance, internal controls, and risk resilience. As Associate Director at Grant Thornton, he leads complex advisory engagements with a focus on Internal Audit, Risk Management, Internal Control, and Corporate Governance.

Mohamed has worked extensively with government entities, semi-government institutions, and private sector clients across sectors such as education, family business, infrastructure, aviation, logistics, real estate, and investment portfolios. His deep understanding of the MENA risk landscape, combined with his technical expertise, enables him to deliver tailored solutions that align with both international standards and local expectations.

He has successfully supported clients in establishing Internal Audit and GRC functions from the ground up—developing frameworks, policies, procedures, and systems that drive transparency and accountability. His work includes leading internal audit delivery projects, enterprise risk assessments, designing anti-fraud programs, corporate governance gap assessments and GRC maturity assessments.
