Grant Thornton continues to support Dubai's Expo 2020 bid (as published in the Arabian Business Magazine) which has been themed as "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future".

Every five years and over a period of six months, the Expo attracts millions of visitors from around the world and if won will be the first to be held in the MENASA region (Middle East, North Africa and South Asia).

Winning the opportunity to host Expo 2020, will be invigorating for Dubai and a recent study has predicted that Dubai's brand value could increase to a estimated $8 billion if the emirate was to be successful.

The Expo would also create new business opportunities, inbound investment, new job opportunities, an even greater influx of tourists supporting the hospitality and leisure sector and new infrastructure developments to name a few. Securing the bid would support a number of key industries within the UAE, as well as further strengthening the UAE's economy overall.

"As the global community faces ever more complex, and increasingly interconnected challenges, the links between people, societies and ideas have never been more important. Dubai Expo 2020 will be a platform for connectivity to help pioneer new partnerships for growth and sustainability for the future."
